Search Process
The following is an optimum process for a thorough Agency of Record (AOR) search, which can often take eight to
10 weeks to complete. We stress that each client situation is unique.
- Consultation - The first client meeting
identifies the complexity of the search. AgencyLink customizes a search
that considers business goals, scope of the work, budget, industry, geography,
culture, products and services, past experiences with agencies,
deadlines, client selection team, client's involvement and any other
unique needs.
- Request for Capabilities (RFC) - AgencyLink shares its preliminary list of candidates
(10 or less) and the client approves the six that will receive the RFC. AgencyLink acts as the conduit during the
process leading up to submissions. The firm's consultants will provide adequate information and briefings to agencies.
Scorecards establish a consistent comparison to reach consensus on the list of finalists.
- Request for Proposal (RFP) and Agency Visits - AgencyLink then advises the agencies
if they are one of the three selected for the final RFP and agency visit. AgencyLink RFPs incorporate a strategic
challenge to score the team's level of thinking, creativity, chemistry and relevant experience.
- Selection - Once the agency has been selected, AgencyLink advises on the negotiation
process, particularly compensation, terms, and procedures. AgencyLink collaborates effectively with client
procurement and finance teams.
- Expectations - AgencyLink’s summit gets you off to a good start. This
workshop covers communications, responsibilities, scope of work, approval processes, status reports, measurement
and accounting procedures.
- Performance – Our role does not end with the selection. We offer periodic
reviews to ensure agency value and ROI.
